Trevana is an Associate Attorney in the Mining and Environmental law team. She completed her BA Law and LLB at Wits and due to her passion and interest in environmental law, completed her LLM in Environmental Law at UCT.

 

Trevana worked as an Executive Legal Assistant at a law firm during her final year of LLB and LLM where she obtained valuable practical experience in various fields of law.

 

Her role at the firm has so far included the following:

• Conducting legal research and drafting legal opinions on various topics within the mineral and environmental law space; 

• Drafting due diligences on mineral, environmental and energy authorisations;

• Drafting and submitting various regulatory applications, comments, appeals and objections in terms of NEMA, the NWA and the MPRDA;

• Attending hearings within the Water Tribunal and High Court;

• Assisting on numerous land claim matters;

• Liaising with relevant departments on appeals and applications.
