Noreen is an Associate in the Corporate Commercial Department.

Noreen has experience in a variety of commercial legal matters in various sectors, including the agricultural, property development, energy, and banking sectors.

 

Specific experience:

• Drafting sale of shares agreements, performing legal due diligence, and performing various supporting duties on share acquisition transactions;

• Drafting loan agreements and security agreements;

• Commercial litigation and arbitration proceedings in relation to commercial law disputes;

• Preparing legal advice and drafting commercial agreements for prominent property developers across South Africa;

• ·Providing legal advice in respect of general corporate governance matters;

• Drafting trust deeds, assisting with the registration and deregistration of trusts, and providing other supporting legal advice in respect of general trust administration; and

• Advising on legal issues, by performing detailed research and preparing legal opinions on, inter alia, directors’ fiduciary duties, common law duties of partners in a partnership, tax obligations of a foreign holding company with resident subsidiaries, restraints of trade of medical practitioners and the Property Practitioners Act.

 

She completed her Bachelor of Accounting and Bachelor of Laws (BAccLLB) degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2020 and proceeded to complete her articles at Hayes Incorporated in Cape Town in 2022.
