Dominic completed his BA Law and LLB degrees at the University of Pretoria from 2018 through 2022, achieving placement on the Dean's Merit List for academic performance during his LLB studies. After having completed his articles of clerkship with NSDV Law, Dominic was retained in NSDV Law’s Mining, Energy and Environmental team, maintaining close involvement in commercial matters.

His commercial law experience spans mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance, and transaction structuring. He regularly assists clients with drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, conducting due diligence investigations, and providing strategic advice on complex corporate matters.

In the mining and energy sectors, Dominic has developed particular expertise in helping clients navigate regulatory frameworks while achieving their commercial objectives. His work includes, inter alia, managing applications for licences, approvals and authorisations, conducting regulatory compliance audits, drafting complex legal opinions, drafting appeals to relevant authorities, and ensuring commercial agreements align with sector-specific regulatory requirements.
